Winning a Gold medal in the most hotly contested U.K London Dry Gin category, King’s Hill Gin has been selected by a panel of industry-expert judges to win this top accolade, using only blind taste-testing to rank it amongst hundreds of entries from the biggest names in gin.
King’s Hill Gin was originally created on a wee copper pot still, dubbed ‘Molly’, in my kitchen with a handful of ingredients roughly gathered and stored in a jacket pocket. We have been truly amazed and humbled by how well King’s Hill Gin has fared against the biggest names in this ever-expanding world of gin.
As I was on holiday during the event, my parents, who triple up as chief helpers, tasters and representatives, made the journey down to The Caledonian Club in London for the category results. They thoroughly enjoyed mingling amongst fellow ginthusiasts and sampling wares from every corner of the globe. I couldn’t quite believe it and nearly choked on a crouton when I received a picture with King’s Hill GOLD. My parents were ecstatic and provided me with plenty merry photos of the event.
It is now onwards and upwards for our gin with a busy year of festivals and ginsmithing!
