Mr and Mrs Morrison, Est.2019

(King’s Hill Crew)

On a very crisp, cool and clear afternoon 26th October 2019. King’s Hill Crew officially became joined in holy matrimony and became a husband and wife team, please let me introduce Heather Morrison, my beautiful bride!

Heather has been instrumental in our wee gin company right from the start. She has always been huge support in everything we do here, a real guiding light. It’s only fitting that she officially joins the clan….look out for her behind the stall with her bouncy blonde curls and serious gin patter!

King’s Hill HQ has been a little quieter than normal over the past few weeks as we built up and prepared for this momentous occasion, although we still managed to squeeze in a cheeky little bespoke run for our big day, Dad’s Homegrown Red Gooseberry Gin Liqueur. This cherry red delight proved to be massively popular, once Dad’s Gooseberry bush (and the baby one he gifted to me) grow up big and strong, we will let all you guys have a wee taste…perhaps a limited-edition anniversary release.

We remain extremely busy here at HQ with our ‘real jobs’ and this delightful Juniper based adventure. Thankfully, chief of operations (my dad) is around daily to make sure this regal gin tap remains open and all deliveries are squared off in a timely manner, we couldn’t do it without him! Batch 7 will almost be entirely handled by chief of operations so keep a beady eye on who has made your very own bottle, each one is signed by the distiller.

We have some seriously exciting announcements coming up soon that may well involve a fresh look to our signature London Dry…. It’s something truly special and I can’t wait to share with you faithful ginsmiths!

In the meantime, we are off on honeymoon……kia koa!

– We planted a baby Scots Pine to commemorate our big day. We set it in the grounds of Newbattle Abbey where we got engaged. We hope to watch it grow tall, strong and weather the storms, just like us.
