We have smashed it out the park and managed a silver at the World Gin Awards 2021!

This is a cracking achievement for a wee distillery like us, the number of entrants (especially in London Dry) is staggering, so to come back with a silver amongst so many other competitors is incredible. We tend to shy away from gin competitions these days but we still stick in an entry every now and again. We won gold back in 2019 for the London Dry and didn’t enter in 2020 so this is further reassurance we are doing something right. Here is what the panel of elite judges and their carefully dialled in palate had to say on King’s Hill Gin.

“Aromas of wet leaves, pine and fresh green herbs. Some acidity on the palate with fresh fruits – apples and oranges – and juniper berries. Floral hints, and a touch of angelica and orris at the back. Nicely balanced”

Keep your eyes and ears peeled for any news at King’s Hill HQ. We have been extremely busy behind the scenes renovating our office and working on new recipes that I can’t wait to share with you very soon.

Slainte Mhath!
